Founded in the 1960s, Nagpur-based EROS Group has established itself as a pioneer in the metal furniture industry across Central India. Over the decades, the group has evolved and diversified its business operations, leveraging its strong foundation in light engineering to expand into new and dynamic sectors.

Operational Structure

EROS Group operates through five distinct profit Centres, ensuring a focused and efficient approach to business:

• Two Trading Profit Centres: Driving the Group’s trading activities with a customer-centric focus.
• Three Manufacturing Profit Centres: Specializing in engineering and production excellence.

Each profit Centre is led by a family manager serving as the CEO, who is directly accountable for its performance and growth. This decentralized leadership model fosters accountability, innovation, and agility within the group.

Family Managers:

A family-owned business with a professional outlook operates on the “Profit Centre” concept. There are five such profit centers: two for trading-oriented activities and three for manufacturing-oriented activities. Each profit Centre is headed by a family manager, who is the CEO accountable for the performance and growth of the group management.

Milestones :

1962: Diversified from Trading to Manufacturing of Steel Furniture.
1966: Recognition by the Maharashtra State Government by awarding a rate contract for round-the-year supplies for steel furniture.
1970: Launched chain of retail furniture stores for furniture and wide range of consumer durables.
1975: Manufacturing shifted to a new plant built on a 36,000 sq m. plot at MIDC Industrial Area.
1989: Automobile Franchise for the “Swaraj Mazda” range of LCVs.
1993: Successful execution of a very prestigious contract for steel furniture to a ‘World Bank’-aided’ project.
1994: Commencement of Coach Building Activity.
1995: Successful execution of the maiden export order for steel furniture (CKD) to SFCE France.
1996: Approved vendor for sheet metal components with Mahindra & Mahindra, an automobile giant of India.
1997: Franchise for the complete range of cars from FIAT Sta.
2001: Launched the first “Furniture Mall” of Central India.
2003: Launched Swaraj Mazda LCV franchise at Jabalpur (M.P.).
2004: ISO-9002-2000 accreditation for Manufacturing Unit.
2006: Commissioning of a 25,000 MT capacity hot dip Galvanised “tower” manufacturing plant at Butibori Industrial Area, Nagpur.
2007: Franchise for “Hyundai” Cars.
2008: Franchise for the complete range of “Piaggio” city commercial vehicles.
2011: Distributorship for “Mahindra Tractors.”.
2012: Execution of bulk “furniture” contracts.

Eros Group Introductory Note

EROS Group has had well-diversified activities and hard-built credibility since 1962. With inherent strengths stemming from the infrastructure of a competent Light Engineering Unit, diversified successfully as vendors to OEMs of the Automobile Industry and the fast-growing “Infrastructure” segment with a focus on the power, telecom, and railway sectors.
The group is proud to be associated with leading international names in automobiles such as Hyundai, Piaggio, Mahindra, and SML Isuzu. Also launched the first furniture mall in Central India with 12,000 ft of display area in the heart of Nagpur city. The group has further diversification plans in the near future.
